OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2008. Expenses on elimination of consequences of the hurricane that swept over five western regions on June 23 have already amounted to USD 5.6 million from the State Treasury. The Cabinet decided to allocate just this amount to assist those who suffered from the hurricane.

As the Emergency Minister Volodymyr Shandra specified the matter concerns only allocation of the funds for fulfillment of primary measures on elimination of the storm consequences. "It is the first allocation of the funds from the Reserve Fund. And then we will sum up the losses and see what additional assistance is needed", he said.
