OREANDA-NEWS. June 23, 2008. Dmitry Medvedev sent a telegram of condolences to President of the Philippines Gloria Macapagal Arroyo following the natural disaster there that has caused much loss of life.

Mr Medvedev’s telegram says, in particular:

“I was saddened to learn of the natural disaster that has struck the Philippines, causing serious material damage and much loss of life.

I assure you of my sincere sympathy in response to this disaster and I ask you to pass on my condolences to the families of the victims and wish a swift recovery to all who were injured”.
