OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2008. Today youth & sports minister Azad Ragimov of Azerbaijan has received Khana Zinger, the head of the UNICEF delegation in Azerbaijan connection with completion of her authority over here.

The Ministry of Youth & Sports informs that the meeting parties discussed conference and projects realized jointly with UNICEF for the last few years in the area of youth and sports and aimed at fighting HIV-infection among the youth and their participation in making decisions.

“Besides, with the purpose of promotion of health of the underage in solution of a range of social problems since 2007 the Ministry and UNICEF are co-operating to increase youth going in for sports. The initiative goal is to expand involvement of young people aged 11-17 years in sports area. The project will cover around 100,000 children and young people,” it was reported.
