OREANDA-NEWS. June 9, 2008. Mr Osipov informed Mr Medvedev about the Academy’s work, in particular its involvement in drawing up the ‘Industrial Urals – Polar Urals’ programme.

Mr Osipov, who has been president of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 1991, was re-elected for another five-year term on May 30. 

Mr Medvedev said during the meeting that he has signed a decree confirming Mr Osipov in his post as president of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
