OREANDA-NEWS. May 22, 2008. The programme of the 5th international choreographic festival Sozhski Karagod in Gomel has been approved. The festival will be held on September 11-14 in the oblast centre.

The programme of the festival includes a contest of four choreographic nominations: folk-theatrical, pop dance, break dance and ballroom dance. Only adult dancers will be permitted to take part in the competition. A sports and ballroom dance tournament for the Gomel Cup Golden Lynx will be held within the framework of the choreographic festival as well.

The organizing committee has already started negotiations with potential participants of the festival. Dancers from the Russian Federation (Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities), France, Great Britain, Germany and Lithuania are expected to take part in the festival Sozhski Karagod.

At the same time, Gomel will hold the City Day. According to organizers of the festival, the two events will attract a great number of guests.
