OREANDA-NEWS. May 15, 2008. Dmitry Medvedev sent a greeting to the organisers, participants and guests of the international helicopter industry exhibition, HeliRussia 2008.

The Russian President's messages reads, in part:

"I am glad to welcome the organisers, participants and guests of the first international helicopter industry exhibition to be held in Russia, HeliRussia 2008.It is symbolic that this exhibition is taking place in our country, a traditional leader of the international helicopter industry. Domestic technology, products and many decades of work experience are in demand on international markets for aviation equipment. And the Russian brands Mil and Kamov remain synonymous with high quality and reliability, and are being used successfully in many different countries.

Today the prospects of the international  helicopter industry largely depend on the expansion of international cooperation and the exchange of advanced technologies and innovative engineering. It is gratifying to see that a diverse range of products of modern helicopter industry are represented at HeliRussia 2008.

I am confident that the exhibition's extensive business programme will suscitate great interest among specialists, make a substantial contribution to the development of cooperation in the high-tech, scientific and technical fields, strengthen business ties, and improve the prospects for the implementation of new joint projects.
