OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2008 – Russian Minister of Defence Anatoly Serdyukov met with Finnish Minister of Defence Juri Hakamies. Participants of the meeting discussed issues related to the condition and prospects of military and military-technical cooperation between two countries.

While discussing the issues of High Seas airspace security Russian Minister of Defence has initiate to sign a tripartite memorandum of cooperation of ATC ground services in Russia, Finland and Estonia with military aircraft carrying out flights in international airspace over the waters of the Gulf of Finland.

During his three-day visit Minister Hakamies will also meet the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Mr. Yuri Baluyevsky, and the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Mr.Valentin Sobolev.
