OREANDA-NEWS. On April 09, 2008 Ukraine lifted the ban on imports of poultry and poultry products from the territory of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland under the stipulation that veterinary requirements are fulfilled as regards import of objects of state veterinary and sanitary control and supervision to Ukraine, the State Committee on Veterinary Medicine press service informed.

The ban on meat imports from Great Britain was imposed by Ukraine in early February 2007, when the "bird flu" (culture H5N1) was fixed in the eastern part of England.
