OREANDA-NEWS. February 21, 2012. On 18-20 April 2012, Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, will see the 14th edition of InterFood Astana 2012 Kazakhstan International Exhibition of Foodstuffs, Drinks, Packaging and Equipment for Food Industry to be hosted by Korme Exhibition Centre.

It is for many years already that the project has been a venue to present high-quality foodstuffs, technologies and equipment for food manufacturing and processing facilities, serving to demonstrate current trends in public catering and packaging industry, developing interregional cooperation, and creating a platform for efficient communication between manufacturers and consumers of goods and services.

Already now the organisers note an intense interest in the event on behalf of exhibitors. As of today, the exhibition area has increased by 100% as compared to the similar period in 2011. In all, the event expects over 100 exhibiting companies from 10 countries of the world and more than 3,500 professional visitors.

This year, the exhibition will offer a large-scale presentation of confectionary and bread-making equipment. The industry’s major stakeholders such as EuroFours/France, Voskhod/Russia, Makiz Ural/Russia, Kosta Sweetmachines/Russia, Favourite-Techno/Kazakhstan-Italy, and Shebekino Machine-Building Plant/Russia have announced their participation.

InterFood Astana is the main food industry exhibition in the capital of Kazakhstan.

Taking part in InterFood Astana will allow you to get an insight into the current situation in the food market, successfully launch new products into the market, test your company’s competitive capabilities, strengthen already established relations with your customers and consumers, expand your dealer networks, increase your company’s popularity, and find new partners eager to cooperate. InterFood Astana has for a long time been acting as a mirror of the capital city’s food shops and supermarkets. As a rule, following the exhibition, foodstuffs and drinks demonstrated at the event appear on the shop shelves.

The key event of InterFood Astana is the professional tasting competition of foodstuffs and drinks, Traditions of Quality. The presented product samples will be evaluated by a special commission chaired by the Vice President of the Kazakhstan Nutrition Academy. Winners are awarded golden medals and diplomas and granted the right to place the medal’s logo on the award-winning product’s label and refer to the fact of being an award-winner when advertising their products. Taking part in the tasting competition, manufacturers confirm the quality of their products with special marks of distinction, which raises the buyers’ level of trust therein.

Alongside with InterFood Astana, another three specialised exhibitions will take place: Horex - Everything for Hotels, Restaurants and Supermarkets, Cleanexpo Central Asia - Cleaners and Detergents, Dry Cleaning and Laundry Machines, and Cleaning Equipment, and Franchexpo Central Asia - Franchising. Holding a few events at one exhibition venue will allow attracting a greater number of specialists from interrelated industries for the most efficient performance at the exhibition.

The event is organised by Iteca Kazakhstan Exhibition Company together with its international partners: ITE Group Plc (UK), ITE China (China), Gima (Germany), EUF (Turkey), and ITE Poland (Poland).

FYI: In 2011, the InterFood Astana exhibition area made up 1,200 sq. m (a 50% increase as compared to 2010). The event was attended by 80 exhibiting companies from 8 countries of the world. 28% of exhibitors concluded contracts right at the exhibition.
